Member Platform Privacy Policy

To register with our member platform you need to provide a first name you use in the real world, a solo profile picture of yourself, and a valid email address. A last name is optional.

To attend a ski event you need to sign a waiver that will require your first name, last name, and a valid email address.

We won't share the information you provided above with anyone else unless we have to for legal reasons.

Whatever you share on the platform (e.g. a photo, or a post, or a direct message) may be shared publicly or privately by other registered users; our platform cannot prevent this. You should regard anything you share on the platform to be public.

Anything you share in public channels (currently only the “Photos & Videos” channel, but this can change without notice) allows visitors not registered on the platform to see what you post, and also to view your user profile.

To pay for a dues-paying membership you will need to provide credit card billing information, including your full name, billing address, and credit card details. This is managed by Circle.so and is not available to other registered users, including the administrator.

Certain services and resources provided on this platform require the use of third-party services (e.g. GaiaGPS, Meetup); these have their own privacy policies that we don't control.

Registered users, including the administrator, may share links on the platform to other websites that also have privacy policies of their own.

If you sign up for a higher-tier membership, you will be recognized at the end of the ski season in a post on the platform, unless you ask the administrator to not be recognized.

You may cancel your registration with the the site at any time. Anything you previously shared on the platform will not be deleted.

The software that hosts our member platform is built by Circle.so, which has its own privacy policy here: https://circle.so/privacy.
